MidAtlantic MedEvac provides critical care and emergency air medical transport for adult, pediatric and neonatal patients. Some of the most common diagnoses include, but are not limited to:

  • Acute cardiac illnesses such as:
    • Acute myocardial infarction
    • Congestive heart failure
    • Cardiogenic shock
    • Aortic Dissections 
    • Post cardiac arrest care
  • Critically ill patients requiring:
    • Intra aortic balloon pumps
    • Impella device
    • Cardiac assist devices (VAD)
    • Temporary cardiac pacing
    • Hemodynamic monitoring
    • Mechanical ventilation 
  • Acute respiratory illnesses
  • Time sensitive neurological/neurosurgical emergencies:
    • Ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes
    • Cerebral Aneurysms 
  • High risk obstetrics
  • Multi-system trauma
  • Burn injuries


MidAtlantic MedEvac also partners with multiple Pediatric and Neonatal Tertiary Care Hospitals to provide Air Medical Transport. A specialized Pediatric Transport Nurse, Respiratory Therapist and  Physician can be added to the team to care for children with diagnoses such as: congenital heart defects, neurologic emergencies, acute respiratory infections/failure and surgical emergencies. Additional equipment available with specialty teams includes a neonatal transport isolette and nitric oxide.
